Free coffee and a new network of friends, There's nothing not to love about
Presented by the Coburg Carnival,
Cafe Play blurs the barriers between cafe conversations. Every day, we zone into our lives and zone out others.
Cafe Play welcomes you into a world you might hear being talked of behind you. This is a Fringe event to mark in your diary with priority, it is so much fun.
Pearce Hessling and Catherine Holder are the visionists behind this seriously cool idea. It is a friendly, colourful, one-on one-interactive experience that leaves you smiling and warm with a cast of new best friends. You may not know who you are talking about at the beginning, but it doesn't take long for backstory to come to life in your mind.
This event is designed for an
audience of one. If it makes you uncomfortable to be the only focus of a performance, then it may not be for you, but don't dismiss it unnecessarily because you might be surprised. Pearce and Catherine both have charisma and infectious joyfulness of spirit that make you immediately at ease and comfortable with the situation. You get to write a beautiful narrative in this 'choose your own adventure' style format and the little gift you take away at the end is to be cherished. I won't be forgetting this experience and it has gone down in my memory as a charming one.
