When it comes to Gawler, there are many pubs and cafes, but I find myself always going back to one. It is called is right next to the Southern Hotel, on the corner of Murray Street and Main North Road. If you are into cosy, breakfast, lunch and dinner spots, with a wide variety of dishes on the menu , a fully licensed bar and great coffee, this is the place for you. An easy to find, easy to access, cafe and function centre serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week.



I can tell I am not alone with the love for this cafe, seeing as it is always busy with groups of people having chats, enjoying coffee, and delicious food. The indoor seating area is large and warm with dark floors, and dated wooden tables giving the café character and a real Gawler charm. Topping it all off, they also have outdoor seating. Colourful seating options are shaded by grape vines and a large veranda and shade sail.

I ordered a coffee when walking in and found myself a booth seat. My latte arrived about the same time as my friend and after a long chat, we thought we better go through the menu and decide what we want to order. One thing I love about this cafe is the large menu . No matter what I feel like, they probably have it. The menu has prices ranging between $4.00 for a light breakfast to $35.90 for a tasting platter to feed two to three people. They offer gluten-free, vegetarian options and pizza lovers won't be disappointed with several different toppings available and can be prepared gluten free also.



I ordered the fried eggs and bacon that came with toasted sourdough and a bruchetta. My friend ordered the same bacon and eggs but added baked beans and hash brown. Both meals were delicious and filling, I must say, they do a good breakfast here, with perfectly cooked eggs and crispy bacon, just how I like it.





If you have a sweet tooth, you will not be let down with their array of sweet treats. Unfortunately, I have always been too full after my main meal to indulge on my visits here but will need to take a trip one night for a coffee and dessert. They have cakes, gelati, ice-cream and biscuits and dessert pizzas piled with delicious options including oreo biscuits, flake, mars bar, finished with nuts, ice cream & chocolate sauce.

As well as wonderful food, has three function rooms. The rooms can seat up to 170 guests in air-conditioned comfort and has a fully functional bar and bathroom facilities. offers a convenient location for any occasion, such as weddings, engagements, birthdays, christenings, work parties or business/corporate meetings.



So why ? This is a café I will keep coming back to, staff are always friendly, food is affordable and to an amazing standard with large servings and a wide variety of food and drink options, I am sure it will be a winner for everyone.
