Craving a Good Pasta?
I have really fond memories of Cafe Mondial. It was the first time I had a grown up meal with my friends and my first Midori and Lemonade when I turned 18. Thankfully I've changed but what's nice about Cafe Mondial is that they haven't.
A lot of people walk past this Cafe without a second glance and are missing out on an opportunity to experience excellent cuisine that is influenced by a number of countries around the world. Besides the culinary delights, the energy and vibe of this place is amazing. The staff are efficient and friendly and seem to be in all places at once.
My last visit here was a reasonably warm Friday night a few weeks ago. The service was quick and efficient as usual and was ready to order a yummy salad when the waiter suggested a pasta dish. Thinking of the hours I had put in to the gym that week, I gave in and ordered the Linguine Al Ragu and a crisp white wine on the side.
The pasta was creamy, on the softer side (I'm not a fan of al dente) and the mushrooms were fresh and the bacon not too salty. My husband devoured the T-Bone Steak and the veggies on the side. The T-Bone was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious (I managed to sneak a small piece away). And if you have enough space left, I suggest you try one of their cakes for dessert as well with a coffee.
I always suggest Cafe Mondial to friends as a good place to catch up, go on dates or even a family dinner. The space of the cafe is more than enough to equip a big get together as well as a small group. The meals range from $18 to $30 for a main and cheaper for breakfast and lunch.
Check it out if you haven't been there before – just make sure you have ha d a good diet that week or worked super hard at the gym because you're going to want to try everything.
