Melbourne is a city renowned for its foodie culture and what do I think it does best? Brunch! It's perfect on those lazy Sunday mornings, when you've slept in and can't quite call the first meal of the day breakfast, but you certainly won't be able to hold out until lunch time.

And where is the best place in Melbourne for eating at this particular time of the day, you ask? That would have to be . Being the eggs benedict connoisseur that I am, I have the authority to say that they benedict the best. While I haven't tried everything on the menu, order this meal and you're guaranteed to be happy. Make sure you order a side of mushrooms as well - their deliciously marinated in holy herbs, best for curing a hangover.

There's a selection of fresh smoothies and juices. My recommendation - the mixed juice. It's freshly squeezed and so refreshing.

The cafe is small and quaint with a French feel to it. French posters cover walls and french pastries are on display. But it also offers a sense of homeliness with the hand baked goods, and the friendly staff.

For lovers of coffee, you will not be disappointed. I've taken lots of friends to this place and everyone agrees it's the best they've been to in a while. My family even go there every Mother's Day now (but you'll definitely have to book because space is limited).
