Have a coffee and scrumptious food while surrounded by plants and decorations. Then take a look at the chooks, native bees in their beehive and little houses for solitary bees. Have a stroll in the outdoor nursery and get inspired and energised by the great atmosphere.
Cafe Lagarto is nestled in a garden setting in the Lifestyle Centre, a few minutes away from Samford Village. A great place to enjoy delicious coffee, cakes, awesome breakfast and lunches.
Cafe Lagato has a menu for breakfast and a menu for lunch. Breakfast is from 8 am to 11 am, lunch is from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. The menu changes according to the seasons to offer you fresh ingredients all the time.
Breakfast includes Eggs your way, Honey Roasted Granola with Passionfruit Yoghurt, Smashed Avocado on toast with Frijole salsa. Eggs Benedict includes two poached free-range eggs on toasted sourdough with wilted spinach and house-made Hollandaise; they can be served with bacon, avocado, halloumi or smoked salmon.
Tempting Orange and Ricotta Doughnuts with soft ricotta doughnut balls flavoured with orange zest and vanilla served with cinnamon poached apples, a gingernut cookie crumble and cheese cream frosting.
For lunch, you can order Thai-Style Pork and Noodle salad, with Thai style grilled pork made with fragrant mint, lemongrass and kaffir lime leaves, served with cold udon noodle and a carrot, red onion, capsicum and shallot with mint pickle dressing.
Corn and leek risotto with zucchini, spinach and cherry tomatoes topped with balsamic reduction. Brisket burger with slow-roasted brisket with apple and corn slaw, cheddar cheese on a brioche bun with beer battered chips.
Cafe Lagarto, which in Spanish means lizard, has a large outdoor space that is undercover. There are many tables and many chairs - it is ideal for groups and families and for celebrations.
The Lifestyle Centre is a few minutes drive to Samford Village. There are a few other businesses in the centre, like the Farm Animals, Lifestyle Homewares, Lifestyle Nursery, Zen Space, Samford Psychology and Samford Family Nutrition.
Cafe Lagarto is family-friendly with a menu with options for kids. After your coffee, you can take the children to the farm animals and there is also a playground for the fun of kids. Dietary requirements options are available. Lagarto is also dog and horse friendly.
After hiking the Piper Comanche Wreck trail, the group Hiking South East Qld and More decided to have coffee and refreshments at Cafe Lagarto. We parked in the carpark and we entered the Lifestyle Centre and headed into Lagarto Cafe.
In the coffee shop, we were greeted by friendly personnel who assigned us a table. After browsing the menu, we ordered at the table which has great food at reasonable prices. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the surrounding very attractive. A few of us ordered a second coffee to continue with our conversation.
After lunch, I went to visit the amazing Lifestyle shops, including the nursery. Another shop had native bees on sale and little houses for solitary bees.
