is well and truly a hidden gem in Prospect and it is the perfect place to chill out by day - or night!

Located down a tiny laneway between two buildings on Prospect Road, it would be very easy to walk straight past it if not for a cute little stand and sign letting passersby know of their presence (and their offering of takeaway coffees).

Walk down the laneway underneath the archways of foliage and you'll find the entrance. Inside the décor features retro/vintage tables, chairs and couches and a cool display of records on the walls. Time spent just looking around is well worth it, as there's so much to see, and a lot of it is quite humorous! The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, a place that makes you want to linger over a meal or drink and let it all soak in.

Being a licenced premises you can chose from a range of alcoholic beverages, as well as coffee, tea, milkshakes and organic smoothies. The smoothies are delicious: choose from Dutch Banana, Magnificent Mango or Very Berry and you will not be disappointed. The alfresco area out the back is the perfect spot to relax and catch some sun while sipping a cool drink with friends.

So why should you go to Cafe Komodo you ask?

Accessible from the main drag, yet set back far enough away from street noise allows you to relax in a quiet atmosphere with both inside and alfresco entertaining options.

Opening hours are ample, Cafe Komodo can cater for your every need - a simple breakfast, a quiet lunch, an afternoon milkshake cooldown or a Friday night boogie and drinks.

Vegetarian or Vegan? No problem! Both food and drink options are available at a great price.

We've said it before, but we'll say it again: It's licensed! So if you want a champagne breakfast or beer with your nachos you can.

Pricing is reasonable and food is fresh, tasty and plentiful.
