Sunday brunch calls for places that are pleasing to the eyes and respectful to the ears, especially when nursing a hangover.
Enter Cafe Kaya, an eclectic little cafe in Westlands with nautical-themed decor.

We tried the Lubelski Cider bucket as we waited for our food and I think I've finally found a cider that's not too beer-leaning in taste. I finished a whole one and were it not for the fact that I wanted to devour my food, I could have had more.

I ordered the avocado prawn cocktail salad and my friend ordered a grilled beef sandwich.

The salad was extremely fresh, prawns grilled just right. My friend enjoyed his sandwich as well, which was served with potato wedges and a fresh tomato salsa or if you're from these parts,
kachumbari.
