A sophisticated and modern Italian restaurant
It was my friend's birthday recently, and as a lover of Italian food it was no surprise she picked an Italian place in Carlton for dinner. And the place she picked was beautiful, the interior reminded me of a sandstone courtyard that you might in any Mediterranean country, with its tiled floor, sandstone walls and beautiful fire place.

The Courtyard

This Mediterranean feel is extended to the menu, which is inspired by northern Italian cuisine and offers mains like gnocchi amatriciana, arrosto di maiale and gamberi pizza. On this visit, I had the gnocchi amatriciana, which was delicious especially the gnocchi itself. In addition to the delicious mains, they also have a delicious selection of sides and entrees including patate italia ( delicious potatoes cooked in garlic, lemon and herbs) and garlic bread on offer. And to finish of the meal, there was a wonderful range of desserts on offer, but my favourite was by far the cheesecake.

All in all, it was a lovely evening with delicious food and great service. Although I do suggest not sitting in the courtyard in winter as it got very cold, or if you want to, then bring a warm jacket to wear.
