You'll Be The Envious One If You Miss Out On Cafe Envy
Cafe Envy's a real lifesaver. Every time I have a visitor come to stay for a day or two I'm always stuck for there to take them to breakfast or lunch. You're not sure what they're going to like. But over time I've come to find that you can never go wrong with a meal at Cafe Envy, in either Cotton Tree or Mooloolaba.
Looks can be deceiving - my muesli arrived in this soup mug.
You've only got to walk in the door to know you're in for a treat - there's just something about the place. There's a notice board advertising local health and fitness clubs, beautiful artwork and photography (some of it for sale) and cabinets of treats to take home. No matter what time of day I go in it's always packed. Always a good sign you're in the right place.
Let's start with breakfast - after all it's the most important meal of the day. Expect all the staples here - eggs benedict, the big breakfast, bacon and eggs and a range of omeletes (eggs here are free range). There's also a variety of muesli - bircher, toasted, natural or gluten free.
I'm always left more than satisfied after lunch at Envy. I remember how gobsmacked I was when I first came along and ordered a burger - it was the size of a mountain. I think I've been through them all since then - beef pattie, chicken breast, vegetable and rib fillet steak. Add in the chips they're served with and you've got a food challenge on your hands.
If burgers aren't your cup of tea though, there's more to choose from. Salads (smoked salmon salad, mediterranean salad, chicken caesar salad, roast beetroot and walnut), homemade vegetarian savoury loaf, gourmet sandwiches.
Cafe Envy is an easy choice whenever you're in Mooloolaba or Cotton Tree and not sure what to eat. One look at the menu and you'll be drooling. Pull up a chair and order a coffee or two - you'll be quite comfortable.
