I have to admit that I am a coffee lover and my quick morning coffee makes me feel more energised when I wake up. But days when I am not rushed (read weekends), I love to enjoy every sip of my coffee and catch up with friends.

Very recently I was introduced to Di Stefano Cafe by a friend and turns out it was only a few minutes walk from where I live (how could I have missed that?) We set up a Sunday afternoon coffee date and walked down to the cafe.

Di Stefano is located on Parramatta Road. They have ample parking behind the store and the entrance to the parking is through Underwood Road. It is an attractive looking cafe and deli. They are known for the signature coffee blend but don't be fooled assuming that they are only about coffee. They have a deli store, dessert and hot food options and also a pizzeria in the same premises.

But surely enough, since it was our first visit we wanted to stick to the coffee. The service was quick and prompt and soon came our drinks.

Based on the type of coffee chosen, the cafe recommends the coffee bean that can be used. My thumbs up for the cappuccino. Surely one of the better tasting ones.

If you want to know what the difference between an espresso, flat white, cappuccino and mocha is, read through the coffee book on the table at Di Stefano to educate yourself.

Next on our list was the affogato, a traditional Italian dessert made up of an espresso shot with icecream. I was not a fan when I first tasted it, but have slowly begun to appreciate it.

I tried their coffee frappe too. I was not a fan - you can give it a miss.

We also had an extremely filling tiramisu to end with. Looked great and the taste matched its looks.

You can subscribe to their club and get news about their weekly offers for coffee or even pizza (yes they serve pizza too). They also offer Barista training. My top picks from the deli store are almond biscuits and truffle honey.

There are good coffee shops and really good coffee shops. Di Stefano is surely the latter when it comes to coffee.
