The menu includes delicious coffee, bakery items, light breakfast options such as Smashed Avocado, Acai Bowls, and more hearty meals such as the Cheesy D'Bar Wagyu Burger or Tempura King Prawns. Patrons can also choose to order a "picnic pack" with fish of the day, calamari, and prawns.
Cafe D'Bar has a diverse menu that ranges from breakfast and bakery options to substantial meals
Cafe D'Bar's location is what led me to find it, and I continue to return because of it. Situated right on top of the headland, with views over the ocean, there is upstairs seating that allows patrons to continue watching dolphins all year round and whales on their migration between June and October. There is additional seating downstairs, and although there are some restrictions in place at present due to Covid19, the impact is reduced thanks to additional, informal bar-style seating outdoors.
Upstairs and bar-styled seating allows patrons to continue enjoying the ocean views and marine wildlife
However, despite these seating options, my favourite option is to ask for a takeaway breakfast and take it back across the road to Point Danger Lookout and Parklands. Here I find one of the Gold Coast's iconic surfboard-styled picnic tables and continue watching the marine wildlife swimming beneath the cliffs.

There is parking available at these parklands, as well as street parking around the cafe. With Rainbow Bay Beach on one side, and Duranbah Beach on the other, Cafe D'Bar is perfectly placed for all your culinary needs during a day trip to the Gold Coast.
