Café Culture walking tours are now available! Proudly presented by passionate Canberran and author of Canberra Secrets, Marg Wade, this unique tour experience is designed to satisfy the insatiable coffee desires of locals and visitors alike.
The interactive three-hour tour begins in the city centre on the first Friday of the month and consists of a coffee cupping session with leading industry and internationally-acclaimed experts, complemented with coffee tastings and delicious treats.
Participants will have the unique opportunity to learn about coffee production from seed to cup and how to discern and identify flavour and aroma of locally-roasted beans. Come and discover Canberra's café past and present as this walk takes you on an interactive café and coffee journey. You'll unearth quirky stories as you wander through some of Canberra's hidden café secrets and uncover other fascinating café and local establishment facts. As an optional extra, a light lunch can also be enjoyed.
These small-group easy walking tours ensure maximum enjoyment and taste temptation galore! Most importantly, you'll have fun!
The tour starts at 9am at Baileys Corner, Corner London Circuit and East Row, Canberra City and concludes at approximately 12pm in New Acton. It's a relaxed 1–2 km walk held in a group of 8 persons.
