Sometimes it's worth giving a place a 2nd shot
Cafe Crema is a small cafe just underneath Arrow on Swanston apartments, not far from Melbourne University.

The first time I visited, music was blaring (seriously, like a night club) and my Tandoori chicken wrap was microwaved but still cold in the middle – the flavours were nice and the price was right, but as far as dining experiences go, I've had better.

I'd read good things about Cafe Crema though, so I decided to give them another try. Lo and behold, the next time I went (at the same time of day), all was right in the world – the cafe was quiet and the staff were friendly and attentive. Just had a coffee that time but it was great – I'd return.

I guess it's just really more of a coffee-to-go type place, and somewhere to grab a quick snack than a sit-down-for-lunch kind of cafe.

That said, they also serve breakfasts, yogurts with fruit on top, soups, and I've heard good things about their salmon bagels – so maybe I'll try one of those next time.

You can find Cafe Crema on Facebook here. Their coffee art is pretty impressive!
