If chess, coffee and chocolate are your style, head to - named to denote it's unique mixture of the aforementioned attributes - on Hardgrave street where you will find an international menu and a selection of quality live jazz and blues music.

This cosy cafe carries a menu of Thai and African dishes as well as a wide selection of pizzas and plenty of choice for vegetarians. The tables are themed with either religious, political or literary decoupages and each of them were hand decorated by the owners, giving a personal touch to the atmosphere.

As well as conducting regular chess tournaments at the tables and chairs scattered on the footpath outside, on Thursday nights, holds a poetry jam, where local talent spend the night showing off their spoken word skills. Starting at 6PM and open to anyone willing to get up and give it a go.

Unlicensed, is BYO and is open from 3PM until 9:30PM on Monday and 11AM until 10PM Tuesday to Friday and weekends from 9AM until 11PM.
