After hours of shopping, all you would want is to grab a seat somewhere decent and enjoy a decent meal. Conveniently located inside the Spencer Street Fashion Station, Cafe Caldera serves modern Australian cuisine.
It's quite easy to walk past the restaurant without knowing - not that it's tucked away elsewhere, more of the fact that surrounding clothing stores are always bright and attention-grabbing. I was unaware of Cafe Caldera despite its opening in 2010 and I've had a fair share of shopping trips at Spencer St by then. It's a well-lit and very modern looking place, good vibes, friendliest waiters and waitresses, mouth-watering food and coffee.
I'm a fan of chicken parma myself so I'm always looking for the best one in town (or in this case, city). It was pleasing to know that the Cafe Caldera menu offers two different sized parmas - the kids' version and the main version. Since I didn't have a big appetite that day, I ordered the kids' parma. When the food arrived, I was surprised at the proportions - it was a very filling and satisfying lunch.
