Cafe by the Beach - Moffat Beach

Every now and then you are lucky enough to stumble upon an
absolute local gem of a cafe. The aptly named Cafe by the Beach is definitely one of these. Situated just back from popular Moffat Beach on the Sunshine Coast the location is certainly idyllic.



The wait staff were all friendly and welcoming which is always a plus for any dining experience. The menu is well thought out and just a little bit different with a range of twists on cafe favourites that is sure to leave you torn with what to chose. The wine list, whilst small, also appears well thought out.

My partner and I both elected for different versions of their fish of the day. I went for the crispy skinned, grilled barramundi served with a fresh salad and chips. It was a monster meal and I most certainly couldn't finish it but the fish was cooked to absolute perfection.



The other half went for the tempura battered barra. Also served with a beautiful side salad and a crispy polenta coated potato cake. He enjoyed the potato cake but, being a typical male, said he would have preferred chips. This was lucky since I had plenty left on my plate.



We capped our meals off with mister having a Crown Lager and me enjoying a glass of Riesling. Soaking up the beautiful township of Moffat Beach with a full, happy belly, bliss!
