Set in the beautiful grounds of Swane's Nursery at Dural, Café Botanica caters to both the people who want to drop in for a quick coffee and snack to recharge while driving through Dural, and visitors to Swane's Nursery who might make the trek out from the city to walk the rose gardens and visit the nursery for some gardening inspiration, then pop in to Café Botanica for lunch before heading home.

It is a lovely setting to find yourself in if you need to escape the city for an hour or two. Staff are friendly and offer for you to take a seat wherever you like once you have ordered at the counter.

We were lucky enough to get a window seat on the day of our visit so could take advantage of the scenery. Staff were quick and friendly and our iced coffee and chocolate milkshake appeared after a few minutes of looking out at the roses and enjoying the old world wood and burgundy décor (which in my opinion is just perfect for a café within a nursery). The iced coffee came in a traditional tall glass topped with whipped cream and was so delicious I forgot to take a photo first! My young friend enjoyed his chocolate milkshake immensely before we took off to Galston Recreation Reserve which is just down the road.



All in all we enjoyed the café and would go back again when we have more time to spare to try out the lunch menu and wide selection of tasty treats on display.
