I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.
After a challenging bushwalk, there is nothing better than a great cup of coffee. Fortuitously one can be purchased at Cafe 92 at the track head of the Valley of the Waters, Wentworth Falls. The cafe is located in the historic Conservation Hut and makes the most of the stunning bushland views.
Breakfast is available all day with bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomato and toast costing $17, whereas muesli, berries and yogurt is $9.50. Lunches range from soup $15.50 to chicken maryland with ratatouille for $28. The vegetarian zucchini and feta fritters with a garden salad for $18 were a delicious light lunch.
On a nice day, it is lovely sitting on the balcony soaking up the natural beauty and it is cosy inside during cold weather. On Sunday afternoons, you may be able to catch a jazz band or string quartet playing in the corner. There is free parking nearby but the area gets very busy with bushwalkers and tourists on weekends and during school holidays.
