Decadent breakfasts in paddington brisbane, west of CBD 2km
We chose Café 63 on Latrobe Terrace Paddington because of the adorable flowers that were displayed for sale out the front. This point of difference: combining my two loves (apart from my husband of course) flowers and coffee as well as the waitress who all but pounced on us at the entrance was the reason we chose this café from the plethora of like establishments in the trendy Paddington precinct.
The restaurant was abuzz with diners and the black and white striped tablecloths, cool artificial grass and "63" monogrammed free bottle of water made our first impression while being seated really positive.
I really liked the hanging plants and bird of paradise semi wall that blocked off the busy traffic nicely.
As it was breakfast we ordered our usual Eggs Benedict "The Ben" and a serve of "Poutine". Not sure which culture this is drawn from? Canada perhaps?
Poutine is a huge bowl of fries topped with chopped bacon, gravy and cheese (I know – all the good things in life). We couldn't decide whether it was delicious or disgusting, but consumed the whole bowl while deciding.
My attention was drawn to a massive plate of waffles with berries and cream being delivered to the adjoining table and I experienced that pang of jealousy diners experience when they think that some one else may have ordered better then them.
I will definitely be taking the girls back with me to try the sweeter side of the breakfast menu. And will need to give lunch menu a go as well.
