Catchy Menu Names
Hidden away in the back streets of Yeronga.
I came across this delightful cafe today and decided on the spur of the moment to have lunch there. It was so cool, clean and fresh looking with black and white cloths and a floor of outdoor "grass". A gentle breeze was keeping the area cool. The outlook is pleasant with a park across the road.
Crisp clean and inviting black and white.
The menu was great fun to read - someone has put a lot of thought into naming dishes. Steak? Well I could choose Liz Hurley, Sir Don or Alpha! Seafood choices were Fire Station or Baroona. How about a Leaning Tower for dessert? For the health conscious there are Egg White Omelettes.
Check out the names of the dishes.
I was really boring and chose the Chicken Caesar Salad. Thank goodness I asked for a half serve. The portion was so generous I could only finish it because it was so delicious.
The tables were filled by business people obviously on their lunch break, friends meeting up (some with babies in tow), mothers and daughters lunching together. Got small kids? No worries. You can buy take away and go to the park across the road.
Lovely shady park across the road.
Service was prompt and friendly. Prices were mostly between $12 and $18 for mains. Steaks were over $20.
