Enjoy a comfortable cafe to meet family and friends
Doing the shopping just became more tempting with the option to stop for a bite to eat and enjoy a catch-up with friends at Cafe 63 at Stafford.

Cafe 63 is a Queensland-created franchise chain of cafes named after the shop's first location at 63 Racecourse Road in Hamilton in Brisbane's North.

The cafes are renowned for providing wholesome breakfast, lunch, dinner light meals, desserts and snacks. Each cafe can be easily spotted by its distinct black and white stripe signage.

Cafe 63 at Stafford is just one of the venues in the family of cafes across the State. The Stafford store is easy to find and is situated at the southern entrance of Stafford City Shopping Centre, right at the beginning of the centre's eatery.

The Stafford cafe is an expansive and airy space providing indoor and outdoor tables and some with bench seating. After finding your table and getting settled, don't forget to look down at the neatly trimmed green astroturf which covers the floor and provides a unique indoor feature to all Cafe 63 sites. It brings a new meaning to "bringing the outdoors in."

Now, to sort out our order. The Standout of this cafe is the extensive menu. If you like detail then I can assure you, you will like this one. In fact, it took me a little while to decide what to order after reading through the entire 14 pages. What is noticeable is the distinctive and novel names given to the food items. Many of the dishes are named after famous people and places from:

Sport: Cathy Freeman, The Warney and Mark Webber

Films: Top Gun, Apollo 11, Poseidon

Cities: Sydney, London, Istanbul

Kids Characters: Disney, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck.

The cafe offers table service and orders can be fun when you say things like "I will have a Super Brat and a Snow White please". The menu is jam-packed with a range of reasonably priced, standard and staple classic favourites made without fuss and delivered well.

I visited mid-morning and ordered a lightly toasted, buttery and flaky ham, cheese and tomato toasted croissant for $10.00 with a coffee for $4.00. The multi-coloured mixed crockery was bright and cheery and a sweet little biscuit on the side of the saucer was a cute surprise. We finished off our morning tea with a cheeky slice of cheesecake and lemon meringue tart.

The cafe also adds as a flower shop with colourful bunches of cut flowers to take home with you after your visit.

That croissant looks so delicious Gillian. I could almost taste it by just looking at it.
