It was a sunny morning en route to perform my ordinance, many miles distant. After a few hours, it was time for that all important caffeine fix, being the thing that drives all members of our 'coffee culture'. Among the applicable mid-way stop points was the town of Rosedale, which has a couple of prominent cafes. Upon parking, I noticed that a new one had popped up since my last escapade.
appeared a little more trendy and inviting than most. The first thing to catch your eye upon entering, is the busy mix of antiques and general eye catching displays.
The coffee was a fine blend and the menu is full of fine food choices. The fruit toast was the most amazing toast you could imagine and presented with expertise and flare! There are vegetarian and gluten free options for many of the items listed. So you can appreciate extent of the menu, I have listed a few examples. Cappuccinos are $3.90 per cup and $4.20 for a mug. You can have alternatives such as soy, decaf, double-shot and lactose free. The choice of coffee types include latte, cappuccino, macchiato, mochaccino, long or short black, or expresso. They serve a variety of tea types, milkshakes, spiders, iced- coffee, iced-chocolate and iced-chai.
For a light meal, you may wish to try a gourmet pie, quiche, pastry-wrap vegetable lasagne, sandwiches or 'toasties'! All of these items range from $6.50 to $12.50, so the value is not to be missed. Breakfast options include fruit toast, baked egg with sour dough bread (you can have fried, scrambled or poached egg), accompanied with homemade baked beans.Other choices include muesli, pancakes, egg and bacon foccaccia and a traditional big breakfast too! A poultry $5.50 to $17.90 covers the individual breakfast menu items.

Whatever you choose, I think you will find it exceeds expectations and will be an experience to tell friends about. have been voted by People's Choice Awards as having the best coffee in the region! They have two blends from their supplier Zest; 'Pickup' a strong blend and 'Cadillac' a milder blend. Zest are a fine coffee producer based in Berwick and Sydney.
are the Wellington Shire's, People's Choice Award winner for 2015! Much of the produce is homegrown and locally supplied. You really can taste the difference and the food really has that wow factor!
[BREAK]The staff are very friendly and make you feel like a guest in their home's rather than a customer. The ladies who served me were fast, efficient, and greeted all customers with enthusiasm and a warm, friendliness. Come down sometime and say hello to Cathy the cafe owner, Nicole, Jenny, Katy and Kiri the chef. They will be your new best friends and you will be looking forward to passing next, just to pop in again!
Even the customer toilet is eye catching and exemplifies the efforts they extend to every facet of the business.
is open at 8am 24/7, and closing times range from 3pm until 4:30pm most days and late on Friday night, being that the premises is licensed. I think there is not much they cannot achieve! I am thinking hard to find any excuse for my next trip to Rosedale... but really, who needs one! All this talk of food... I think I better jump in the car!
