Just off the Great Western Highway, in the charming village of Glenbrook , #news "> is a popular spot for a diverse range of people. Young families, lunching ladies and loved up couples were all in evidence on the weekday that we were there. I would imagine that it is very popular on weekends with the variety of food and entertainment on offer.



There are extensive seating areas inside, on the front lawn, under the pergola or out the back near the pet pig's pen. The staff are very friendly, greeting diners with a smile, water and the menu . Breakfast dishes are available all day and during the evenings, pizzas, cocktails and interesting share dishes are on the menu.



Children are well catered for in the fun gardens that include farmyard pets, an ice cream cart and a fenced play area. Under 12's have their own $10 menu and there are plenty of high chairs for the younger set. Adults are also kept happy with the freshly roasted organic free trade coffee, fresh juices and a nice range of quality alcoholic beverages as well as the fresh locally sourced produce. Live music adds to the relaxed atmosphere on Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons.



The famous brekky board $24 for one person was a generous serve of nicely poached free range eggs, chorizo, avocado, mushrooms, haloumi, smoked salmon and leg ham but did not have quite enough toast included.



The hoisin bowl $22 with crispy skinned salmon was a delicious and filling lunch choice. The salmon was a large serve and its creaminess contrasted nicely with the grilled pineapple chunks and salty sweet hoisin sauce. The vegetables and rice that it was served over make it a complete meal.



Reservations are not taken for the day service but only for after 5 pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Groups of more than 15 are requested to order from the group package menu and they are also available for private functions at night.
