You will find Café 21 on the Smith Street Mall Café 21. It's on the Paspaley building end and at the Bennett Street intersection. It's a stone's throw from the main bus station. There is parking available on the surrounding streets.

Café 21 has been in Darwin for as long as I can remember. It's a Darwin institution. It doesn't look like much from the outside but like all things in Darwin, don't let that deceive you. It is open 6 days per week, and it's a local haunt for many office workers.

It is was originally started by a Darwin Filipino family. It's been around for generations. It has a great selection of sandwiches, salads and hot food for lunch and dinner. They also know how to do a proper iced coffee Darwin style with loads of cream and ice-cream. They have gluten free options available as well.

My favourite go-to dishes include their excellent Caesar salad and my favourite and best chicken schnitzel in Darwin. They have a good breakfast and lunch menu that caters to most tastes and too big appetites. As eating is required to combat the heat!

If you're craving a dessert fix, they have macarons and a range of delectable little cakes.

You can also arrange catering for your event with Café 21.
