If you'd asked me a week ago if I'd like to eat froyo, I wouldn't have a clue what you'd be talking about. At the weekend I found out exactly what froyo was, and what all the fuss is about! Cacao Green recently opened a branch of its popular kiosk's in Chadstone, selling their infamous organic froyo's - the trademark for frozen yoghurt. Great news for shoppers that find themselves in Melbourne's largest shopping centre, looking for a refreshing treat.
Cacao Green is not your average run-of-the-mill froyo food booth. Not only can you expect to buy organic frozen yoghurt, but also delicious sweet and savoury waffles, fruit parfait, smoothies and more.
Cacao Green prides itself on being "organic, fair trade and all natural", with four other stores found throughout Victoria and more than 300 locations around the world through its sister brand Red Mango.
I stopped by the newly opened kiosk for a taste test, and left feeling mighty full and very satisfied. Cacao Green opened my eyes to the world of froyo, tempted by interesting flavours such as green tea, chocolate with ginger, and mango compote.
Let's also talk about the waffles; freshly made batter cakes that can be enjoyed equally as a savoury option as much as a sweet treat. Both the smoked salmon, and ham and cheese waffles are remarkably good and would be an ideal lunch time meal.
