New craft beer bar where brewski boredom doesn’t exist
Mount Lawley has always been a busy hub for Perth foodies, and now there is a new player on the scene. Caboose Bar is a newly opened craft beer bar dedicated to tantalising taste buds and wetting whistles – but it's not your average bar.
If you're sick of the same old beers, this small bar is the place to go. Serving 12 different tap beers, all frequently rotated for maximum palatal variety, there's little chance of getting bored of these beers.
Caboose Bar is situated next to 'sister' pub the Flying Scotsman and below cocktail lounge Defectors Bar. It gives off the vibe of a giant man cave, with its barrel tables, dim lighting and old school beer taps sprouting from the white tiled wall.
If you need to know exactly which beers are being served up on any given day, you can check the Now Tapped website for 'real time' updates as to what's on tap. You'll currently find some familiar brands, including 4 Pines, Mash Brewing and Nail Brewing Australia, along with some relatively unknowns, such as BrewCult, who bring the Thanks Captain Obvious IPA to the table, along with Dainton Family Brewing, who are responsible for the Bad Daughter Choc Orange Porter. These titles will possibly be replaced within a few days, so get in quick if you want to try them! You'll also find a list of beers 'up next' on the website.
You'll find Caboose next to the Flying Scotsman and below the Defectors Bar.
There is a beer garden at the front of the bar, which is perfect for those balmy Perth nights spent sipping beer. Even if you aren't in the mood to sit in and sip your beer, you can purchase your favourites to takeaway with you.
Caboose Bar adds another dimension to the bustling Beaufort Street scene. Among the cafes, wine bars and pubs, this little craft beer bar is your premier destination for something just a bit different week in, week out.
