The TRYathalon will consist of a swim, a ride and a run starting at the Caboolture Regional Aquatic and Leisure Centre in May. Kids from 7 to 15 years of age can participate, and there are some great prizes to be won. Of course, there is heaps to do leading up to the day. First, there is pre-training. If you can find a place near you where you can swim, ride and run, this is a great place to start. Otherwise, you can head to the Caboolture Regional Aquatic and Leisure Centre and try the course before the big day.
The course map and training tips and exercises are available for download from the official website. You can also let all your friends and family know so that they can come and support you on the day. And if you want some real competition, challenge your school buddies to the TRYathalon to make it even more interesting.
Registration can be done online or on the day. At the event on the day, you will be required to check-in at the Check-In Tent, where you will receive your event kit, including your official t-shirt and bib number (if you haven't already received it). From there you will be required to go to the numbering tent where the Help Team will tell you what to do. Once you complete the TRYathalon, you will receive your medal. Then you will be treated to a free breakfast at the Weet-Bix Breakfast of Champions tent, after which you can continue the fun by checking out all the fun activities to do at the Weet-Bix TRYathalon Village Arena.
So what's up for grabs? There's heaps to be won at the Caboolture Weet-Bix Kids TRYathalon Event. The Event Day Lucky Prize Draw will be announced on the day, and everyone who checks-in is automatically entered in the draw for a chance to win a TREK bike. The Bupa Get Ready Prize can be won by any person who registers for the pre-training program online. The Eveready Early Bird Prize is giving you the chance to win a family holiday. And there's many more prizes; see the website for the complete list.
