Until it closed in 1964, there was a railway line from Caboolture to Wamuran. Its purpose was to bring produce from the Wamuran farms. Mostly pineapples and bananas. These were then sent on to the market from Caboolture.

Wheels turn slowly, but finally, in late 2019 the rail trail was open. 10.5 km of multi-purpose trail that is loved by both walkers and cyclists alike. It's a very safe trail away from the highway traffic. For users, it's very scenic as it passes by many farms that grow a variety of produce. City cyclists can now come to Caboolture by train then ride out to Wamuran and check out other areas that had not been easy for them to get to previously.

Walkers from other areas north or south of Caboolture can catch the train then walk some or all of the trail for a change of scenery. Dog walkers, mums with prams, and many others just love this wide safe place to go walking. Local Wamuran children also love being able to safely ride their bikes to school.

The trial runs from Beerburrum Rd in Caboolture (opposite the northern end of the railway station) to the Nasho's park in Wamuran.
