A celebration of homegrown Queensland music
If live-streaming just isn't enough and you are missing your hit of live music, Brisbane venue, The Triffid will be hosting a COVID safe Cabin Fever Festival this winter.
The festival is a month-long series of live performances by a selection of Queensland musicians. The impressive bill includes one-time Powderfinger frontman Bernard Fanning, along with Eurovision representative Dami Im, and country crooner, Troy Cassar Daly.
The Cabin Fever Festival Starts from 10 July and runs through August 13 2020 in The Triffid Garden with cabaret-style seating. Tickets are available online here. All attendee names must be entered when buying tickets due to Covid 19 restrictions in place. Customers may be contacted with ticketing information.
About The Triffid The Triffid, headed by former Powderfinger bassist, John Collins, has been awarded the Queensland Music Association Metro Venue of the Year. It includes an outdoor pop-up beer garden with food and drinks served up from shipping containers.
This unique venue, which was once a disused commercial hangar is located at 7/9 Stratton St, Newstead and close to the fashionable James Street precinct and close to the Brisbane CBD.
So, celebrate all that is great about Queensland music and support homegrown artists at the same time.
