BB le Buff's School of Performance is the oldest burlesque school in Brisbane, having been established in 2009. It has a variety of classes available in a range of styles, including hula hoop, silk veil fans, pin-up hair and makeup and the aforementioned burlesque.

Each term the school stages CaBBaret, a show involving both students and professional soloists, and their Christmas show is coming up on Saturday December 14. With tickets only $30, it's a great, affordable way to enjoy some stellar entertainment on a Saturday night on the Southside.



With artists from such a wide background showcasing on the night, there's a range of talent, style and artist to enjoy. The several shows I've been to involved burlesque, lyrical dance, hula hooping and experimental theatre/comedy, among other genres. It's a great night to be inspired, maybe to check out a class the next term.

I'd highly recommend taking in a CaBBaret show, usually held at the Latvian Hall located off Logan Road, if you enjoy high energy shows, loud, enthusiastic crowds and great creativity.
