The Vanguard at Newtown hosted a pure delight, 'top notch' and hilariously funny two sided five star Cabaret... Ich Bin Ein Belinda and 'These Things Take Wine'.
We got to sit back, relax and enjoy two shows on the same night as Australia's comedy cabaret darlings brought us their perilously acclaimed solo shows to Sydney's Vanguard and it was unquestionably a night filled with laughs, personal truths and of course a whole lot of wine!
Belinda gave us a hilarious exploration of all the "people who live inside her head". We met the drunken Hedonist, the repressed Nice Girl, the misogynistic Man and plenty more people who live inside her mind; she exposed herself in this tell-all hilarious psychological expose.
Natasha finished the night with 'These Things Take Wine' – a wine soaked comedy cabaret with stories of pre-drinks, police encounters, chicken nuggets in bras, hijacking buskers and everything inbetween...
The music was extravagant and the whole night was one hilarious evening.
The Vanguard provides an elegant and stylish restaurant (unfortunately we had dinner before hand, and did not experience the dining here), there is full view of the stage, including a mezzanine level with a top view.
Awaiting the next act from the lower level at the restaurant...
