On Saturday evening, 14th May 2016, the Asbestos Diseases Society of South Australia (ADSSA) is hosting a cabaret titled 'Always Look on the Bright Side'. Funds raised will be used to promote asbestos awareness in the community and educate young people entering the building construction industry on the safe handling of asbestos products.
Doors open from 7pm. Entry is $52pp plus booking fee and tables of 10 are available for $495 plus booking fee. Included in price of entry is a three course dinner and a People's Choice Community Lottery ticket. Bring some extra dosh on the night for your chance to win prizes in ADSSA's raffles and silent auction. Full bar facilities will be available (no BYO).
The cabaret will feature guest performer, Gill Hicks who is nowadays better known for surviving the London bombings (7 July 2005) and founding the London-based not-for-profit organisation M.A.D for Peace. Gill was raised in Adelaide and in the past performed as a jazz singer with the Andy Sugg Jazz Quartet in the 1990's before moving to London to further her career.
Talented cabaret performer, David Gauci will be Master of Ceremonies for the evening which will also feature performances from members of Adelaide's musical theatre fraternity and cover band, The Fabulous Rezonators.
