Sydney has a new place to enjoy a drink and some food with friends. The Cabana Bar opened early December 2021 and has been providing a much-welcomed place to relax in the centre of Sydney's Martin Place.

The inner-city oasis is perfectly placed for after-work get-togethers, luncheons and functions. The alfresco bar has five unique and comfortable seating areas including the Palm Bar, Kokomo Corner and the Aruba Booths. The 100-metre long tropically inspired outdoor terrace overlooks the concrete urban environment of Martin Place and is a good place for kicking back and people spotting.

The menu is full of a variety of tasty food and drink options that should satisfy most people. Vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free items are available and most of the dishes are suitable for sharing. Selected wines are available by the glass and/or bottle and there is a range of beer on tap as well as bottles but why not get in the holiday mood with a cocktail! The unique Coco Cabanarita is a delicious and creative twist on a margarita.

Seafood features in the share dishes some of which are flavoured with Mediterranean or Asian ingredients. Indulge in some fresh local oysters paired with a glass of bubbly or a crisp white wine before trying the stuffed zucchini flowers or the blue corn tostadas with tequila cured salmon. The goat's cheese salad is fresh and colourful and full of complementary and contrasting flavours and textures.

The usual pub classics of schnitzel, steak, fish & chips and burgers are available for those that wish something more substantial but my preference would be to have a selection of snacks and share dishes with a selection of drinks. The Cabana Bar has plenty of spaces for functions of all sizes.
