If you are looking for a show that keeps on giving, Cab Suave is it! I was fortunate enough to be invited to review the show and was so grateful for the experience.

From start to finish, the performers had their audience fully engaged, laughing clapping and captivated. Scene changes were seamless, costumes dazzling and the tricks - well, let's just say they absolutely maximised the intimate space!

The performance centres around a storyline where the quirky and hilarious police officer Dick Johnson goes undercover into the world of cabaret - only to consider embarking on a career change!
At times it is difficult to believe that Jack Wilde is an Aussie bloke with his very convincing American accent, which is perfect for the era the show is set in. While Jack is the narrator for the show, he also dabbles in various tricks to add a little more flavour to an already spicy performance!

The acts can be described as nothing less than spectacular. Each time you are wowed by one act, the next one starts and you are impressed all over again. It had the perfect build-up that just gets better and better!

Winter Cyan's grace was captivating. A fluidity of movement both with the ring and the fire was an absolute pleasure to watch and as per my guest's account, totally hypnotising.

I have to make a special mention of the singer Laney Mejias, who croons her way through each well-known and catchy number and has a voice made for cabaret, sending chills down the listener's spine. The soundtrack for the whole show is absolutely perfect and the volume is just loud enough to create the atmosphere without being overpowering.

Abby Kelso wowed the audience on the aerial silks and hula hoops, making the audience gasp at their fantastic tricks and incredible strength, twisting and turning their body into all sorts of positions above our heads.

Latonya performed on both the aerial swing as well as her duet with Abby with the hula hoops and had the audience continuously thinking they had reached their trick limit and then upping the ante just that little bit more.

Sometimes I find these sorts of performances overdone and a little corny but I absolutely loved this show and the chemistry between the performers is entirely believable. My guest and I walked out with huge smiles on our faces.

If you have considered coming and seeing something at the Fringe, I recommend you come and take a chance on Cab Suave! You won't be disappointed!
