The Metropolitan Musical Theatre Company of South Australia presents 'Bye Bye Birdie ' at The Arts Theatre from Thursday 12th October until Saturday 21st October at 8pm and 2pm on October 16th & 21st.

It is adapted from the book by Michael Stewart, the 1963 musical comedy film by Columbia Pictures & the musical by Irving Breher, with music and lyrics by Charles Strouse and Lee Adams. Directed by Gordon Combs, Musically Directed by Paul Sinkinson and Choreographed by Carmel Vistoli.

This is the story Conrad Birdie, inspired by Elvis Presley, Conrad is the biggest rock & roll star of the 60's. Its 1958 and Birdie has just been drafted by The United States Army. His agent, Albert, knows he can make a lot of money if he can get Birdie on the Ed Sullivan Show for a final performance.

This performance will help sell Birdie's new song 'One Last Kiss', and save Almaelou records from going under. Birdie also agrees to give one last kiss to one lucky fan.
