One Fell Swoop Circus is proudly presenting the WA premiere of 'By a Thread' at FRINGE WORLD 2017.

This extraordinary show combining dynamic acrobatic skills and poignant physical theatre will take place under the Lunar Big Top at The Pleasure Garden.

Watch as eight talented NICA (National Institute of Circus Arts) trained circus artists and 30 metres of white rope come together via an innovative aerial apparatus. Using long spools of white rope run through pulley sheaves and wrapped around bodies, performers are hoisted and swung by one another to create striking tableaux and breath-taking dynamics.

The actions of one acrobat affect and implicate the movements of others in a precise negotiation of cause and effect, much like the booms and sheets of a sailing ship.

The result is an awe-inspiring exploration of trust and play as the rope becomes the physical manifestation of the trust implicit in any relationship, acrobatic or otherwise and the performers use this metaphor for connectedness to explore the give and take, balance, and dynamics of relating to one another.

It's a visually stunning and affecting feat as the acrobats have to rely on the strength of the group to hold the end of the rope, keeping them aloft.

Don't miss this opportunity to see 'By a Thread' at FRINGE WORLD 2017. The cutting-edge contemporary circus piece is sure to delight and inspire all ages.

'By a Thread' will play at the Lunar Big Top, The Pleasure Garden, Fringe Hub from 20th January to 2nd February, 9.30pm.

Tickets for the all-ages show are now on sale through fringeworld.com.au or call (08) 9227 0588.
