We all know jigsaw puzzles have become a quarantine hit with children and adults alike - but did you know there are many other surprising benefits of jigsaw puzzles!

Puzzles help you focus and hold your attention! Regardless of your age, puzzles are the ultimate offline activity. They give you a real mental workout, as they use the left side (logic) and right side (creativity) of your brain at the same time. For kids, jigsaws are great to develop organisational and fine motor skills as well.

Puzzles improve short term memory! Sharpen your short term memory and problem-solving skills by completing a jigsaw! As you try to fit hundreds of different jigsaw pieces together, you will be working on your critical-thinking skills and visual-spatial reasoning.

Puzzles are therapeutic! Switch off from a busy day and upturn a jigsaw box! It's a great stress reliever and when you are finished, you will have a real sense of achievement! You can even hang your completed puzzle on a wall!

Puzzles can be a group activity too! If you would like to connect with your younger or older family members, complete a jigsaw together! It's a fun way to spend time with one another with a shared goal.

It's lovely to see modern jigsaws on offer. I think these scenes are far more relatable to our young than the traditional 'chocolate box' landscapes.
