If you're a musician in Brisbane, there's a number of places you can go to jam. On a Tuesday, you can head to Butters Jam. Of course, music appreciators (like me) are welcome and it's a whole lot of fun.


Commencing in August 2006 (under the name Kitty's Jam), I heard about this through one of my musician friends otherwise known as That Trombone Guy , so I headed along recently to check out the buzz.

I was impressed by the variety of performers and the great talent, which included up to eight musicians performing at a time. The musicians looked like they were having an amazing time, which meant I enjoyed it all that much more. It was hard to choose between the performance of The Doors "Riders on the Storm", or Pink Floyd "Another Brick in the Wall" as my highlight of the night.



Butters Jam happens every Tuesday night from 8pm, at Stadium Bar on Caxton St.
