After a decade of touring, recording and rocking the Australian music scene, Brisbane based band
The Butterfly Effect have announced the departure of vocalist Clint Boge. Boge has decided to focus on other musical endeavours including his other band
Thousand Needles in Red, which has a heavier, darker and edgier approach than
The Butterfly Effect.
The three remaining members of
The Butterfly Effect will continue to make music together, however it is yet to be known in what capacity and it certainly will not be easy to replace Boge's technical ability and highly distinctive sound.
The 2012
Effected tour will be Australia's final chance to see
The Butterfly Effect as led by Boge. To commemorate the tour and ten years of recordings, fans can purchase signed copies of 'Effected' a compilation CD featuring the band's finest work such as 'Gone', 'Crave', 'Phoenix' and 'Window and the Watcher'.
The Butterfly Effect is one of the great success stories of hard rock bands in Australia with their albums 'Imago' and 'Final Conversation of Kings' charting in top three positions. They are known for powerful and passionate performances and will be bringing their signature brand of emotive rock to Adelaide this weekend. The shows have nearly sold out though, so get your tickets quickly to ensure you don't miss your chance to see the band perform together as you know and love them for the very last time.
The remaining tour dates are as follows:
Saturday, May 26- The Bridgeway Hotel, Adelaide, SA
Sunday, May 27- HQ, Adelaide, SA
Saturday, June 2- Prince of Wales, Bunbury, WA
Sunday, June 3- Metro City, Perth, WA
