There probably aren't many families who haven't been touched in some way by breast cancer, so it doesn't take much coercion to get support when the Breast Cancer Network holds an event.
However, on Saturday 8th August they will be holding a fundraiser that everyone will be busting to attend – a fabulous party night presented by Joi Events at the Hackney Hotel, with copious quantities of music, food and laughter.
The musical entertainment will be provided by the local acoustic duo Unity and DJ EZEE, from FreshFM, one of Australia's premier DJs, while the evening is hosted by comic Matt Gilbertson of the Sunday Mail and Mix 102FM.
A very special guest will be author and bass player Mark Evans, who was bassist for the great AC/DC and subsequently wrote of his exploits with the rock band in 'Dirty Deeds – Inside & Outside AC/DC'.
There's a 3 ½ hour food and beverage package included in the ticket price of $79, with bookings available on line at www.bustoutandparty.com
This is the first such event by the Breast Cancer Network Australia and its success will enable them to continue to provide support and information to Australians who are affected by breast cancer, either as sufferers of this insidious disease or by personal experience with family or friends.
So not only will you enjoy a great night out, you will also be supporting an excellent cause.
