Lend your support and Bust a Move
This year will be the first time that the Chicks in Pink, those lovely girls who raise funds for the Mater Hospitals in the name of breast cancer, will bring you Bust a Move.

Sounds like a dance routine, right? Well you are close. It is a one day event, where you, should you choose to accept this mission, will work out in a series of 6 group exercise sessions, for the whole day. Now don't worry as they have tailored it to meet everyone's abilities and ages. All you have to do is raise some funds and show up with your exercise gear. It sounds like it will be a good time and a way to add some exercise into your day.

You don't need to be a thoroughbred to come and workout!

Raise funds? Yes, that is the key to this whole day. The Chicks in Pink help women and families who are affected by breast cancer. Their support comes in all kinds of ways from mastectomy bras to counseling to financial support.

More research will help more women escape the perils of breast cancer!

According to their website the Chicks in Pink mission is "to raise funds that will help make a positive, significant and real impact on people who are affected by breast cancer and contribute to the better understanding and treatment of breast cancer through medical research". This is a noble cause supported by these women who have been around in their fund raising capacity since 2004.

Most of us know someone who has been affected by cancer. Breast cancer is on the upswing affecting 1 in every 8 women under the age of 85. We have the ability to help.

And how can you help? Well, glad you asked. The expectation is that you raise $1000. to join in on the day. It sounds like a lot but you still have 2 months before the event. You can raise funds as an individual or as a team, but each team member must raise their own funds. Think of all the possibilities.

We can paint a different picture with more research!

The website shows all the groups and individuals who are raising money for this cause. You can choose to donate to one of them instead if you prefer . Whatever you decide to do they have suggestions, answers and support for you.

The event will be at the Brisbane Convention Centre on March 15, 2014 and the guest fitness instructor for the last session of the day will be Shannon Ponton from Australia's Biggest Loser. Now that should spur you on to work out with him.
