The #map_122 ">Wings for Life World Run , to be held in Busselton on 4th May 2014, is a truly unique running experience for two reasons - runners in 35 locations will start simultaneously, competing to be crowned as the Global Champion, and perhaps more unusually, the distance is not set and the finish line is not defined. That's because half an hour after the runners set off, an official Catcher Car will start from the same point, pursuing the runners. Once a runner has been caught, their race is over. As the race progresses, the official Catcher Car will accelerate, eliminating competitors until there's only one man and one woman still racing.

Busselton is the only city in Australia to be chosen to host a race, alongside other venues worldwide including Cape Town, Barcelona and Santiago. Runners will enjoy a spectacular course as they travel from Busselton along the coast toward Dunsborough, Yallingup and Maragaret River. It's a fantastic race for any level of runner, and there is even a pace calculator on the event website that allows you to calculate your target distance based on your own expected pace.

You'll be supporting a great cause too, as 100% of the proceeds from the Wings for Life World Run will go towards Wings for Life, a foundation that funds research into finding a cure for spinal cord injury.

Entry is only $66 and includes your race number with timing chip, a shoe bag, a bandana, and a Led Lenser headlamp. Entries are open until 27th April 2014.
