A workaholic businessman has to go on a blind date arranged by his grandfather. Kang Tae-moo (played by Ahn Hyo-seop), a CEO of a very successful company, is always busy with his work and makes his grandfather worry about him and his future. Not long after Kang Tae-moo returned home after working abroad at one of his company branches, his grandfather already prepared a list of blind dates for him with several girls from a wealthy family.

One night, Kang Tae-moo meets Jin Young-seo (played by Seol In-ah), the only daughter of the chairman of Marine Group, for a blind date. But he doesn't know that Jin Young-seo sent her best friend, Shin Ha-ri (played by Kim Se-jeong) to replace her. Ha-ri agrees to help her best friend because she needs some money to pay for her neighbour’s business signage that she broke. The plan was to have Ha-ri rejected by the prospective partner. So on their first blind date, Ha-ri did all sorts of things in the hope that her blind date would feel ill about her. On the other hand, Kang Tae-moo decided to marry his blind date partner to avoid going on the rest of the dates, which he thought would waste his time. From the other 20 candidates of blind dates arranged by his grandfather, Kang Tae-moo found that Ha-ri was different despite the other girls being from chaebol (rich) families with very well-educated backgrounds.

Even though Ha-ri had been very careful when she met Kang Tae-moo at work, many times her real situation almost unfolded. Many funny scenes happen because of this situation. Ha-ri's fake identity was eventually revealed by Kang Tae-moo and of course, he is furious.

Business Proposal is a South Korean romantic comedy television series based on the webtoon of the same title written by HaeHwa and illustrated by Narak. There are a lot of animation (especially during funny scenes) that you can see in these 12 episodes drama. It makes you feel that you are watching a webtoon. You can also see a funny romantic relationship between Ha-ri’s best friend, Jin Young-seo, and Kang Tae-moo's secretary, Cha Sung-hoon (played by Kim Min-kyu).
