What a gem in Little Bourke Street. The signage is not clear and the establishment (on first judgement) appears to be a cheap place for university students or like a soup kitchen for free or cheap meals. However, step inside and you have an abundance of choice as to where you wish to sit. The couch at the front is also something great if your just having a coffee. Ample space, yet hardly busy. You can get away with bringing your laptop and working for a couple of hours. Would also make a great oasis for anyone who wants to do a bit of novel writing outside of home or for university students wanted to get a head start on that all important essay.
Very very laid back and oh so slow food service. The food itself is cheap and filling, yet flavourless and bland. A great place to relax, study, eat out on a budget and be full and satisfied - especially if you don't give two hoots about Michelin stars and flavours when eating out.
On a more positive note, the staff are really friendly and pleasant, and the coffee tastes fantastic. The coffee is definitely organic and fair trade. I don't care where it comes from, as the cup of heaven I had was really superb. I can easily trust the relevant staff member if they claim that the coffee is fair trade.
