The Friends of Stirling Linear Park, a Landcare organisation, is proudly celebrating their 25th year in 2014. Recently the volunteer group sponsored two categories in the Rotary photographic competition to showcase the natural beauty of Stirling Linear Park.
This collection of photographs has now evolved into a display of enlarged and creatively mounted images, alongside other similar themed works by local photographers. This unique display will be held at the Aldgate Cafe from Saturday 1st March 2014.
The displayed images will focus on all four areas of Stirling Linear Park and in particular will reveal the beautiful biodiversity and sustainable use of Stirling Park, Woorabinda, Hender Reserve and Madurta Reserve.
Whilst viewing the display, guests will also be able to enjoy a range of Italian style meals, courtesy Aldgate Cafe; choose from traditional pizza and pasta varieties, or opt for a delectable dessert and coffee.
The Cafe is at 6 Srathalbyn Road, Aldgate and is open Monday to Wednesday, from 4pm to 9pm and Thursday to Sunday, from 12pm to 9pm.
The display forms part of the exciting 2014 Adelaide Fringe Visual Art & Design programme.
The Friends of Stirling Linear Park have managed the regeneration and re-vegetation of the parks for 25 years, and this work and the exhibition are supported by the Adelaide Hills Council and Adelaide Mt Lofty Natural Resource Management.
