Bill Gordon, Bush Poet

With the Moondyne Festival over for another year Toodyay is full steam ahead preparing for the first of what is hoped will be an annual event - The Bush Poets Breakfast and Concert.

The program is:
7.00 am Aussie Breakfast
8.00 11.00am Bush Poets and Yarn Spinners, with
musical intervals by Outback Paddy
1.00 3.00pm Michael Blake (Outback Paddy Family
Concert)

Their vision for this event after 2012 is for a week-end event to be held on the first week-end of November each year and to make Toodyay the home of Bush Poetry.

The Saturday night will be a great opportunity to include music and make it a fun social night.

Bush Poetry is known to go hand in hand with an Aussie Breakfast with a weekend event, this is an opportunity for local clubs and groups to participate and provide the breakfast and to showcase their club and its causes.

The WA Bush Poets and Yarn Spinners Association will work closely with Toodyay to make the vision a reality. They have arranged to hold their State Championship next year and each year thereafter at this annual event.
