Help rise funds for Maya's operation
Maya was born at 28 weeks and was later diagnosed with Diplegia Cerebral Palsy. Diplegia Cerebral Palsy is also known as spastic diplegia, which is a form of cerebral palsy but marked by tense muscles and spasms. The leg muscles are very tight and over a period of time, this reduces the range of movement due to joints stiffening and a child's intelligence and cognitive functions are also severely affected.
Maya has been approved for a life-changing operation in the United States, which will release the tension and tightness in both legs permanently, allowing her freedom of movement along with improved balance.
This Bush Dance is hoping to raise funds to assist Maya on her journey to the States. This is an 18 and over event with live music from the "Wild Matildas" and will be held at Sheidow Park Primary Gym on Saturday 23rd June from 6.00pm until late. Tickets are $35.00 per person and includes your meal, door prize and entertainment. There are limited tickets available and these will be sold as pre-sale only; they are not available at the door. A bar will be provided for purchasing drinks, desserts and coffee.
You may even like to dress up in your "Best Country and Western" for a prize on the night.
