These school holidays, the Australian National Botanical Gardens will be running science workshops, designed for children between 7 - 12. Each workshop lasts for 1.5 hours and costs $5 per child. Bookings are essential. There will be 3 workshops:
BUG BLITZ - Wednesday 27th September
Take a peek into the miniature world of insects and make your own scientific bug aspirator to take home, collect bugs and learn how to study them under the microscopes.
SEED BLITZ - Tuesday, 3rd October
Discover the hidden world of seeds and what an important role they play in our environment. Study seeds under the microscope, take a behind the scenes peek of the National Seed Bank and make your own native seed bomb to take home.
BEE BLITZ - Thursday, 5th October
Discover the secret lives of native bees, learn to identify native bees, spot native bees in the Gardens and make your own PVC bee pipe-hotel to take home.
