Science fun for kids at the Botanical Gardens
These school holidays, the Australian National Botanical Gardens will be running science workshops, designed for children between 7 - 12. Each workshop lasts for 1.5 hours and costs $5 per child. Bookings are essential. There will be 3 workshops:

BUG BLITZ - Wednesday 27th September

Take a peek into the miniature world of insects and make your own scientific bug aspirator to take home, collect bugs and learn how to study them under the microscopes.

SEED BLITZ - Tuesday, 3rd October

Discover the hidden world of seeds and what an important role they play in our environment. Study seeds under the microscope, take a behind the scenes peek of the National Seed Bank and make your own native seed bomb to take home.

BEE BLITZ - Thursday, 5th October

Discover the secret lives of native bees, learn to identify native bees, spot native bees in the Gardens and make your own PVC bee pipe-hotel to take home.

See the Australian National Botanical Gardens website for more details and how to book.
