Issuing an open invitation to the whole community, the Burwood Village Festival promises a 'magic mix of events and activities, scrumptious food and a relaxed, friendly vibe.' In the words of the President of the Burwood Village Traders Assocation, Travis Bateman, the intention behind the festival is to bring the 'community together' and 'offer something for everyone.'
Local traders have been preparing hard to ensure this year's festival is even more exciting and full of even more surprises. There will be lots of free entertainment, especially for the kids with rock painting, rock climbing and live entertainment, from cheerleaders to dancers and live music.
Also for the kid, there will be an animal farm, face painting and for something new, rider-powered plush Zoo on Wheels animal bikes. Swiftly gaining in popularity, kids can choose their animal from a selection including unicorn, tiger, panda, giraffe, zebra, horse and more, then all they need to do is push with their legs to bounce and the animal moves.
There is a lot of focus on kids at this year's Burwood Village Festival. In celebration of its 6th year, the Festival will feature the Kids Entrepreneur Market. By inviting local youngsters to set up a stall and sell their goods or skills, The Burwood Village Traders Association are supporting young business enthusiasts and giving them the opportunity to learn some valuable life skills. Come along to support this wonderful initiative.
