A great school holiday treat
Burtons Circus, Brisbane, School Holidays

Roll up, roll up, Burton's Circus is arriving in Brisbane, just in time for the winter school holidays. For both adults and children, there's something really exciting about sitting under a classic "big top" and being entertained by a traditional family-run circus. Burton's Circus will perform thirty six shows, both day and night, filled with colorful artists, both human and animal.

All the Hoop-la:

Watch out for the seventeen trailers arriving in Mitchelton, with 25 animals and 25 staff/performers very soon. Based in Queensland, Burton's Circus has been touring Australia for over 150 years. They will perform beneath a brand new "big top" with comfy elevated chairs for easy viewing from everywhere around the tent.

Each two hour show (plus interval) is presented by Ring Master, Shane "Burton" and includes amazing acrobats, crazy clowns, aerial artists, flying trapeze, daredevil stunts, as well as a whole array of animals - llamas, dogs, water buffaloes, macaws, performing liberty horses, and camels.

Animal circuses are the pits. They should be relegated to the dark ages. Circus animals spend a lot of time on the road travelling and it's just a lousy dull life for them.

So disappointed to see in this day and age circuses with animals are still being promoted. Animals in circuses lead miserable and sometimes cruel lives. There are so many amazing circuses without animals, choose one of those instead and teach your kids it's not okay to exploit animals for entertainment!

will you be performing in other locations in Brisbane and if so where?

You people who criticise the circus with animals clearly haven't been to one. The animals at burtons circus have all come from farming situations where they would have been slaughtered if the circus had not given them a home. They are well cared for, loved by their owners and receive plenty of space to graze and exercise. Go and see the circus for yourself and make up your own minds before listening to a couple of ignorant extremists telling lies to try and make their radical ideas heard.

Good on Burtons Circus - rescuing these animals from starvation or abuse and giving them love and an exciting way of using their brains !!
